On this day, SA men posted themselves at Jewish-owned shops, law offices, and doctors’ practices across Germany. Signs read “Don’t Buy from Jews” and “The Jews Are Our Misfortune.” Windows were marked. The national action lasted one day. Local harassment continued.

Joseph Goebbels and Julius Streicher presented the boycott as a defense against foreign “atrocity propaganda.” Police did not protect the targets.
