From 27 December 1941, German forces emptied the Kharkiv ghetto. The Drobytsky Yar memorial records that people were taken from the ghetto to Drobytsky Yar and killed there. On 7 January 1942 the guards were removed, and the memorial records that the ghetto ceased to exist.
