On our next episode, we featured Daniel Berke – Daniel Berke is a lawyer specializing in criminal and regulatory law and has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He has acted in numerous high-profile and complex legal matters throughout the Jurisdiction and has been interviewed in major news and current affairs broadcasts about his work and cases.
He holds a board position in a not for profit legal organization, is a member of the Jewish Diplomatic Corps of the World Jewish Congress.
He is also the author of “Captured Behind Japanese Lines: With Wingate’s Chindits – Burma 1942–1945,” his first book which was inspired by the incredible heroism of his grandfather, Frank Berkovitch who fought alongside the Chindits during WWII. “Captured behind Japanese Lines” chronicles his grandfather’s journey as a soldier as well as his time spent as a prisoner of war after being caught by the Japanese. The work is the product of considerable personal research, research that took him to Burma to bear witness to his grandfather’s experience and we’re fortunate to have him on our podcast so that Frank’s story and the stories similar to it will never be forgotten.
