#onthisday, 5780, the Hebrew calendar turns as we celebrate the birthday of mankind and the beginning of the new year: Tishrei 1, 5781.

The past year has been difficult for many, especially within the Jewish community. Yet, with Rosh Hashana upon us and the 10 Days of Repentance beginning tonight, we have an opportunity to reflect, rejoice, and grow.

Enjoy the quality time with loved ones, hear the shofar speak to your soul, be proud of your heritage and remember to always be a light – even when things seem darkest – one candle can light up the darkest of rooms.
