#onthisday, 1944, one of the leaders of HaPanterim HaShchorim (Israeli Black Panthers) is born in Baghdad, Iraq.

By 1950, he would fly to Israel with his family and move into the run-down Musrara neighborhood of Jerusalem – the same neighborhood where most of the future leaders of the Israeli Black Panthers would also grow up in.
